Act as a dynamic resource for Welch's Regional Business Partners and/or Area General Managers. The position will be a business partner to help drive organizational and local goals focused primarily on financial analysis, asset stewardship, and profitability of the business units within the scope of responsibility.

In addition to reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the role will work closely with the Key Operations / Plant level leadership to drive results

The Role

  • Bring strong, broad, progressive functional capabilities in strategic planning, accounting, business insights and financial planning, forecasting and analysis
  • Possesses a deep understanding of profitability drivers necessary to achieve financial objectives and be able to translate complex issues into simple-to-understand concepts
  • Use outstanding inter-personal skills to influence through relationship building, business insights and critical thinking
  • Be a strong leader with experience developing and leveraging relationships across the assigned business units
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, high sense of urgency, ability to roll-up their sleeves and the passionate desire to drive results

Key Functional Responsibilities

  • Leads the monthly close providing key insights and financial reporting along with supporting analyses to Organizational leadership
  • Improves financial / business acumen of Organization. Display a passion to help others understand key business drivers and develop into business leaders
  • Catalyst to drive business performance improvements driving EBITDA and Working Capital with a keen focus on improving AR and Inventory
  • Participates in or leads strategic / tactical business projects (beyond finance) that provide broad-based value
  • Contributes to development of the strategic plan; creates P&L architecture to achieve financial objectives while funding key investments to drive future growth. Drives translation of strategic plan into an annual budget. Ensures the annual plan is supported by detailed action plans resulting in a realistic, achievable budget
  • Remains aware of changing trends in the business and proactively provides insights and solutions to business issues maximizing short and long-term strategic / financial objectives
  • Capital control Works with project owners to develop business cases as well as the annual budget and quarterly forecast. Participates in development of Business Cases and post project analysis
  • Ensures alignment and a strong working relationship with the operations team. Maintains a culture that emphasizes responsiveness, accountability, and transparency.
  • Is confident, transparent, nimble, and succinct. Provides accurate and timely reporting and analytics to key stakeholders. Ensures there is integrity in projections and that they are grounded in reasonable, logical assumptions.
  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills both internally and externally.
  • Provide customer analysis and assist the business in assessing profitability and communicate asset risk
  • Is confident, transparent, nimble, and succinct. Provides accurate and timely reporting and analytics to key stakeholders. Ensures there is integrity in projections and that they are grounded in reasonable, logical assumptions. Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills both internally and externally.
  • Ensure the integrity of the policies and procedures at the local level while working with corporate finance leadership to provide consistency in financial reporting.



Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

Experience in a manufacturing business job shop accounting processes

Five (5) years prior experience in finance, accounting or operations experience required and five (5) years of experience in the corrugated converting industry preferred

MBA and or CPA credentials are highly desired

Exceptional organizational, analytical and communication skills.

Excellent problem solving and leadership skills.

Internal and external customer focus.

Computer literacy with the Company database systems and Windows applications.

Ability to read and write English.

Ability to travel to various Welch companies as needed, up to 50% of the time.
