Summary

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for covering a wide range of job assignments associated with installing, testing and maintaining electrical equipment, machinery, apparatus, and fixtures.


Key Responsibilities

    1. Maintain and perform predictive, preventative, and unplanned maintenance on all site manufacturing and facility equipment to ensure operation
    2. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
    3. Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Solve complex electrical and mechanical problems including hydraulic, pneumatic and electronics
    4. Diagnose machine operation failures and downtime using PLC controls and PC programming
    5. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
    6. Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
    7. Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
    8. Document work activates with site Computer Maintenance Management System.
    9. Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at the country, state, and federal levels.
    10. Troubleshoots electronic circuitry and electrical circuitry to isolate problems and take appropriate corrective action.
    11. Thorough knowledge of basic electronics, advanced electronics, AC/DC drives, numerical controls, and digital electronics.
    12. Thorough working knowledge with 3 phase 480V and below.
    13. Must be capable of performing component level repairs;
    14. Capable of reading and interpreting electronic schematics, blueprints and understanding/troubleshooting solid state circuitry.
    15. Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

Requirements/Qualifications

  1. Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system. To qualify for consideration, an applicant must possess the following skills.


    • Minimum of 3 years of high-level break-fix & preventative electrical and mechanical maintenance experience required. Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to perform electronic, mechanical and hydraulic repairs used in electrical and mechanical maintenance technician work assignments.
    • Ability to operate forklift.
    • Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills.
    • Highly disciplined, problem-solver with a strong work ethic.
    • Must be able to work without close supervision.
    • Knowledge of Pneumatic and Hydraulics.
    • Experience in welding and fabricating.

    Highly desired skills:

    Experience with Flexo-graphic presses, and / or corrugated machinery.

    Experience with conveyor systems

Able to crawl, kneel, climb ladders, lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.

Must be able to concentrate and maintain productivity in high pressure situations.

The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas were under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as Safety Glasses with Side Shields and mandatory hearing protection.


Must be flexible:

Work Shift 0600am 02:30pm or 2:30pm 11:00pm Monday thru Friday.

Overtime will be required as needed.

Some weekend work as needed.
