Individual will work with all Welch benefit programs and compensation plans. Provide analysis, create, support, and educate on the following compensation plans - Deferred, Executive, and Sales. Develop and communicate full compensation program by position within Welch. Review and create updated benefit plans that coincide with other benefit policies. Oversee the rewards and recognition programs within Welch. Oversight and responsibility for the payroll coordinators. In addition to reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the role will work closely with the Key Operations/HR Business partners to drive results.

The Role

  • Bring strong, broad, progressive functional capabilities in all benefits and compensation plans forecasting and analysis. Specific experience in Executive Compensation Programs, Deferred Compensation Programs, and Sales Commission Programs.
  • Possesses a deep understanding of Welch benefits and compensation plans to attract and retain team members and be able to communicate strong competitive plans to the business and team members of Welch
  • Use outstanding inter-personal skills to influence through relationship building, business acumen and critical thinking for all benefits and compensation plans
  • Be a strong leader with experience developing and leveraging relationships across the organization
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, high sense of urgency, ability to roll-up their sleeves and the passionate desire to drive results

  • Oversite, Communication, and Creation of All Welch Benefits Programs
  • Open Enrollment Lead
  • Benefits coordinator with external providers
  • Leave Compliance and Tracking
  • Compliance Reporting for Benefits and Compensation plans
  • Worker's Compensation Analysis and Reporting
  • Create and Maintain Compensation Philosophy
    • Monitor and oversee 401(k) compliance and reporting
      • Coordinates quarterly fund review due diligence
      • Coordinates quarterly educational sessions with HR Business Partners
    • Compensation practices
      • Deferred Compensation Program
      • Sales Comp
      • Executive Comp
      • Plant Analysis for markets/positions
    • Monitor and Oversee Bonus and Recognition Programs

  • Remains aware of changing trends in the business and proactively provides insights and solutions to business issues maximizing short and long-term strategic / financial objectives
  • Ensures alignment and a strong working relationship with the operations team. Maintains a culture that emphasizes responsiveness, accountability, and transparency.
  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills both internally and externally.
  • Ensure the integrity of the policies and procedures at the local level while working with corporate human resource leadership to provide consistency in benefit and compensation plans.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or Finance required. Master's degree preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing business helpful
  • Seven (7) plus years prior experience leading and creating benefits and compensation programs experience required
  • MBA and SHRM certification credentials are highly desired
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical and communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and leadership skills
  • Internal and external customer focus
  • Computer literacy with the Company database systems and Windows applications
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to travel to various Welch companies as needed

Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials during the workday. Proper lifting techniques required.

May include lifting to 25 pounds for files, computer, printers on occasion.

Work Environment

The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as Safety Glasses, Shoes, and mandatory hearing protection.

Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
